I am all about good design, good times, and good coffee.  Design is amazing, its alive. Design is not just about decoration or looking good. Its about action, its about purpose, it is synthesis of an objective in an attractive and useful way.  Through the years I have worked on hundreds of projects and found that I grew and saw a meaningful enhancement in my skill and prowess. This may be the singularly most rewarding thing about designing and striving for better craft and the highest standards.  I want to do my best to share this joy by lending my expertise to promising new designers, passionate rising stars and genuinely motivated individuals.

There are thousands of fantastic resources for utilizing current web technology to achieve cool effects and advanced functionality. While those articles are important, they are not what I will concern my writings with.  My focus is making you a better designer. What do I mean by designer?  A designer can solve problems, engineer unexpected solutions, strike up a conversation with users, communicate benefits, and build trust. I am aiming to educate web designers in an exploration of what makes good design good. Why it works, when to make decisions, and techniques that surround them.

My Theoretical Re-Designs

These articles are focused on brands and companies that I love. I will never create a theoretical strategy for a business I hate, because this a labor of love. Sure, it would be cool if they hired me, but that’s not what I am after. These articles are specifically about how design and aesthetics together with functionality drive us.Consistently looking good and working right are inseparable elements of a successful business plan. That is the principal issue that I am tackling in these writings.
